Software Used: Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, Blender, Substance Painter and Photoshop
Lighting, rendering, and outline shader development done in Unreal Engine 5

INSPIRATION
This rubber hose waffle boy character was created in collaboration with my partner, Krish Rumon. He designed the character in Adobe Illustrator as a mascot for his portfolio website.

MODELING
I skipped the sculpt phase with this fella and went straight to blocking and modeling using primitives in Maya. All tubes and lines were done using Blender's curves.

The eyes were set up as spheres and then squashed down with transforms left live to give me flexibility for posing.
POSING
I used a combination of Maya's "curve warp" modifier, Zbrush's Zspheres, and good old fashioned hand-sculpting to get this waffle into pose.

SURFACing
Textures were created in Substance Painter with assistance from Photoshop.
Outline shader was made in Unreal Engine 5 using a Post Process Material.
